Prompt: The nightmares haven't stopped. I'm not sure what is real anymore.
The screaming The voices The ghosts The pains They haven't stopped The nightmares haven't stopped And I doubt they ever will. The nightmares haven't stopped and now I'm not sure What is real and what isn't.

Prompt: Just get it over with!
Kiera wanted to die. Every part of her body was in pain. “What do you want from me?” Kiera asked as Altaroth came into the room. “It’s nothing personal,” Altaroth said. Kiera screamed in pain as Altaroth once again started his torture. “If you want to kill me,” Kiera gasped out. She tried to keep her tears from falling down her face. She wasn’t going to give Altaroth the satisfaction of seeing her cry. “Just get it over with already.” “Oh darling,” Altaroth laughed, “I’m not going to kill you.” “You’re not?” Kiera looked around at all the instruments of torture. “No,” Altaroth said, “I’m going to do much worse than kill you.” Kiera gulped and tried to get her breathing under control. She was afraid of that response. She knew all too well that there were worse things than dying. Prompt: Yes, you will rise from the ashes, but the burning comes first. For this part, darling, you must be brave.
"I can't do this," Kiera shook her head. She couldn't take it anymore. The pain was too much. She was going to break. She was going to crash and burn. She was going go disappear into a pile of ash. She would be forgotten. "Yes, you can," Hadeon said, "You will rise from the ashes." Yes, she would burn. Yes, it would be hard. But Hadeon had complete faith in her. He knew that she would rise from the ashes and she would be better for it. "But the burning comes first." Hadeon hated that that's how it worked. In order to rise from the ashes, one first had to burn. "And for that part," Hadeon continued. He caressed Kiera's cheek and looked deeply into her eyes. "Darling, you must be brave." He gently guided her head to his and their foreheads rested on each other as he gave her all his strength to empower her to get her through this. Prompt: The prophesy said the beast could not be killed. "Can it be loved?" I asked as a child.
Everyone knew the prophesy. The beast could not be killed. "Can it be loved?" Kiera asked. Maybe you couldn't kill the beast, but maybe you could love the beast. Prompt: Love. Love isn't having butterflies all the time, I think love is calm. Love is comfortable. I could sit in silence with you for the rest of our lives and it would mean more than a thousand words with anyone else.
"Is this love?" Hadeon wondered. He had no idea what love was supposed to feel like, he had never felt it before. But he had heard stories of love. Stories about butterflies in stomachs. This was nothing like the love he read about or heard people talk about. Maybe he didn't love Kiera after all. No. That didn't feel right. Love. What was love? Maybe love wasn't having butterflies all the time. Maybe love was calm. Maybe love was comfortable. Maybe love was the ability to sit in silence with someone and have it mean more than a thousand words with anyone else. Prompt: That was....interesting to say the least.
"That was..." Adelaide said. She looked around uncertainly. "Interesting," she said slowly. "To say the least," Michael laughed. Prompt: "That's it! I'm leaving!" / "You can't leave." / "Don't pretend you're going to miss me." / "Believe me, I wouldn't. I was referring to the fact that we're locked in..."
"That's it!" Alysha shouted. If she stayed in that room for one more moment, Charles was going to have a broken nose. She would strangle him. "I'm leaving!" Alysha moved toward the door. "You can't leave," Charles said, stopping Alysha in her tracks. Alysha stopped and looked at Charles. "Don't pretend you're going to miss me," Alysha rolled her eyes. "Believe me," Charles sighed, "I wouldn't." There as nothing he would miss less than Alysha. "I was referring," Charles continued, "To the fact that we're locked in...." Alysha paused. She had momentarily forgotten that. Stupid Skye and Ryan, locking them in like this. When she got out of here she was going to strangle her friends. Prompt: "I thought I had it all figured out until I met you. I never knew I needed you in order for my life to make sense." "I thought I had it all figured out," Hadeon said softly. He thought he had the world figured out. Everything made sense to him. He had his place in the world, he knew who he was, he knew where he was going, and what he was doing. Everything was sailing smoothly. "Until I met you," Hadeon continued. He stroked Kiera's cheek and looked into her eyes. With her in his life, he realized just how confused he had been. He realized how much his life didn't make sense. She opened her eyes in a way that he had never thought possible. "I never knew I needed you in order for my life to make sense." He leaned in and kissed Kiera lightly but passionately. Prompt: "There are three things you need to know before you read this...."
Skye handed Kevin the note. It was the only way she could explain, the only way that all of this would make sense to him. Kevin looked at Skye curiously as he held the note in his hand. "Read it," Skye encouraged. Kevin nodded his head and began to read the note. 'There are three things you need to know before you read this,' it started out. 1. We were kidnapped and barely managed to escape. 2. He's still after us. 3. I know it was you who saved us. Kevin stopped reading. He didn't have to read any more. He had really found them, and that's all that mattered to him. Prompt: "You are playing a dangerous game without so much as a glimpse into the rule book." Hadeon held Kiera tightly to him. "You are playing a dangerous game," Hadeon said, looking down at Kiera. His face was full of concern. "Without so much as a glimpse into the rule book." "And what about you?" Kiera asked. She looked up at Hadeon with defiance in her eyes. "Have you so much as glimpsed at the rule book?" Hadeon didn't comment, causing Kiera to smile smugly. "Exactly," she said, "So, why don't you and I play this game together? We'll figure out the rules as we go." Prompt: Picture prompt Kiera burst into a run as she saw Hadeon wandering through the woods. She didn't know for sure that he had specifically come to find her, but it felt like it in that moment, and she had never been happier to see anyone than she did to see him at that moment.
She raced to his side and threw her arms around his neck. She wrapped her arms around his neck tightly, clinging to him like she wasn't going to let go. Hadeon wrapped his arms around Kiera, holding her gently, but tightly at the same time. He burrowed his face into Kiera's neck, taking her all in, the feel of Kiera in his arms, the smell of her hair, everything about her. He was never going to let her go ever again. |
