All of us wear masks. Most of us have a different mask for every occasion. Running around wearing masks make it difficult for anyone to truly know one another and be able to help and love one another in the way that they need to be helped and loved.
Prompt: Masks I’ve gotten good at hiding it. People only see the mask I put on. They only see The happy face I put on. Nobody asks. Nobody cares. They see what they want to see Not what’s going on right there. They don’t see that I’m falling apart. That I’m trapped in the darkness Where there is no light To shine the way for me. They only see The happy face mask Wanting to believe that truth Instead of looking for the truth.

Prompt: Write a story from the perspective of Harold the Armchair. What does he think about all day? Does he like being sat on? DO his parents approve of him being an armchair?
Hi, Harold here…..the armchair….you know, the thing that you sit on all the time? Yeah, bet you didn’t know that I had a name….well I do….the name is Harold….Harold the armchair. But do you care? No….I don’t think you do….Because who cares about an armchair? Nobody! Nobody thinks about the armchairs that they sit on….You know what? My mom and dad were right. Nobody cares about the armchair….I could have been, should have been a love seat….or an armoire…..or something….anything but an armchair…..Why didn’t I think this through? Prompt: It was broken, but she was determined to fix it.
