Prompt: Everyone thought she liked being overdramatic and pretending to be depressed, the truth was that she was tired of digging so many graves.
She was a recluse. She very rarely wen ou and associated with people. She didn’t have very many friends, yet everyone in the village knew her. She often made predictions, often tried to warn people, and yet she continued to push people away. Everyone in the village thought that she did all that because she liked be overdramatic. They thought that she liked pretending to be depressed. They thought it was all an act. However, the truth wasn’t as easy as that. The truth was that she was tired of digging so many graves. Year after year she would dig grave after grave. All her friends. All her family. Everyone she had ever cared for. One by one, they dropped like flies, and the number of graves grew. As the numbers of graves got bigger, the smaller her circle became. She closed herself off. Hoping that if she loved no one, no one else would get hurt, or at least she could block her heart off from the pain that came with loving.

What would your underrated super power be? No, the normal invisibility, speed, strength, time travel, teleportation, telekinesis, etc don't count. It has to be something random and kind of off the wall. Something like the two I have written down in today's prompt...or like my friend's idea of control+F so that she can find anything...lost keys, lost wallet, etc, she can find it.
Prompt: Create a superhero with a seriously underrated super power. “Hello everyone,” Avman said, waving his hand, “I’m Avman. I’m average at everything that I do.” “Totally lame,” another voice scoffed from the back. “Sure, some could say that,” Avman nodded his head, “But, anything that I do, I’m average at. Even something I have never done before. I’m automatically average at it. I can do literally anything, and not suck at it.” The heckler nodded. That was actually pretty cool he thought. “And what’s your superpower?” Avman asked. “My name is Filler,” he stood up, “I can fill up anything.” “Lame,” Avman scoffed. “Oh really? Out of gas? Low bank account? Your stomach? Your gun out of bullets? Snap of my fingers, full. Done, you’re welcome.” Nothing really to say for this one...but here you go.
Prompt: I can feel you forgetting me I stay in the shadows. That’s my comfort zone. That’s what I know. No one knows me, And yet I know Everyone. My curse is to remember, I remember everything, Even when others don’t. I feel everything too. Like right now, I can feel you forgetting me. That’s okay. Everybody does, Eventually. Prompt: Write a scene based off of a Shakespeare play
“He is so dreamy,” Antonia sighed as she stared at Gerrard. Alex didn’t respond. He was too busy staring at Antonia, too head over heels in love with her. “I need your help,” Antonia said, grabbing Alex’s hand, her eyes pleading with him to do her bidding. Dressing up to look like his twin sister, he walked over to Gerrard to try and convince Gerrard to fall in love with Antonia. While Alex was doing Antonia’s bidding, his twin sister was doing the same thing to try and win over Antonia’s heart for Gerrard. Don't forget to buy the books we have put on Amazon. The links are on the home page. When you do, if you could also leave a review, that would be greatly appreciated as well. Thanks :)
Prompt: Not another blind date “I have the perfect date for you,” Margaret laughed gleefully as she clapped her hands together in her excitement. “No,” Gabriella said shaking her head, “Not gonna happen.” “Oh come on.” “No, I’m not going on yet another blind date.” “Why not?” “Because, no offense, you suck at it. You are terrible, and I do mean terrible at setting people up.” “Oh come on, this time it’ll be different. I promise,” Margaret crossed her heart like a child. Gabriella looked at Margaret’s big puppy dog eyes and the pouting lip and couldn’t resist. “Fine,” Gabriella sighed. Margaret jumped up in excitement and raced out the door to get the date all set up. Prompt: “Look! It’s the love of my life!” / “Does he even know you exist?” / “Nope.” / “Then it’s definitely true love.”
“Look!” Casey squealed as she looked at yet another picture of Thomas Hides, the famous actor. He was the world’s biggest heart throb. People’s hearts melted just by looking at him, and Casey was no exception. In fact, she might be the biggest melted heart there was. “It’s the love of my life!” she held the picture close to her heart and her face held a dreamy look to it. “Does he even know you exist?” Stacy asked, rolling her eyes in amusement at Casey’s antics. Stacy went along with Casey’s craziness, even though she didn’t quite understand what all the fuss was about. “Nope,” Casey sighed. “Well then, it’s definitely true love.” “Some day I will meet him and he will fall madly in love with me and we’ll get married and it’ll be perfect.” Stacy simply laughed and left Casey to her fantasies. This is a stray from my norm, it's a little different, a little strange, but I like it nonetheless and I hope that you do too.
Prompt: What the water says The water rushes inside the cave, searching for...gold, treasure, a way out, freedom? No one is quite sure what the water is going in search for as it makes its trek into the dark unknown. Apparently, the water was unable to find whatever it was in search for, it pushed against the walls of the chasm. It comes shooting out with a force that could cut through rock as easily as cutting paper. They race out of there with a force that causes humans to fear what it could do to them, a mere mortal, especially when the waves have the power of the entire ocean, animals, and even God himself. It comes rushing toward the shore angrily, as if it wants to rip every person it sees to shreds. You stand, watching it as you stand just tantalizingly out of reach of the waves. Too fascinated to move, you watch as the waves break and rush back to the ocean at the mere touch of the rocks. They are the only thing that keeps you safe. As the waves break, you watch as the water tries to rush back toward the ocean, to be back with its friends, ready to be picked up yet again, even if that means their friends are left behind. You watch as the waves continue to crash into the chasm, hitting other waves as if to tell their friends that it shouldn’t be there, that they need to leave, but the ocean is persistent and cannot be swayed in its task, even by its own. So the water rages onward. The cave creates a whale spout, even sounding like a whale as it spits whatever water is left back to freedom only to have it die as it turns to mist when it reaches the air. The mist is a silent funeral for the ocean. This is based on some thoughts that I had while I went to visit Thor's Well (Cook's Chasm) in Yachats, Oregon. Hey guys :) I'm so happy to be back.
I had a great time and am back and ready for action :). So here we are kicking off my first post back with this gem: Prompt: “You are NOT my favorite person today.” / “I’m not your favorite person any day.” Felicia glanced at Hunter as he burst through the room. He was covered in blood and looked about ready to pass out at any moment. Without blinking an eye, she got to her feet and got him to a seat before going to get something to clean the wounds. “You know, if you get blood on my couch, you are not going to be my favorite person today,” Felicia said, kneeling in front of him and cleaning up the wound to get a better look at it. “I’m not your favorite person any day,” Hunter winced as he tried to laugh. They worked well together, and were the best team they had, but they were still cousins, and acted like brother and sister. After all, they basically had grown up as such. “True,” Felicia nodded, “But you’ll be even less of my favorite person.” “I’m going to fall even further down that list? Wow...I hope I don’t sprain my ankle dropping those two inches.” “Just because you’re injured doesn’t mean that I won’t hurt you,” Felicia warned giving him a playful hit. It was a great prompt :). I love it. (For a little back story here...this is before Aiden comes into the story. So Aiden hasn't had the time to become Felicia's least favorite person yet.) Thanks for reading :) Hey, this is my last post for the next week. I will try to post on Friday or Saturday, but if we're being totally honest here, it'll probably be a double or triple prompt on Sunday to make up for the weekend that I could have posted, but didn't.
Prompt: “Who should we go to? Admiral Follows All The Rules, or Admiral Let’s Start A War?” / “Unfortunately, I think we need both.” Mara slid into her throne and began to star into nothingness. Saria walked to Mara’s side and placed her hand on hers, trying to bring her back to reality. “Who should we go to?” Saria asked. She didn’t want to bring her son into this. He had just been able to get to his feet, just had him walking him around. They couldn’t send him out there. It would mean his death. She couldn’t do that to her son. She wouldn’t do that to her son. Not again. It had to end somewhere, and it might as well end now, with her. “Well, there’s Admiral Follows All The Rules, or Admiral Let’s Start A War,” the head guard spoke up, “We could go with either of them.” “Unfortunately,” Mara sighed, knowing just who the head guard was talking about, “I think we need both. They’ll balance each other out, and that’s what we need.” “They’ll kill each other.” “They’ll figure it out.” Mara and Saria stared at each other as both of them sighed heavily. They had no other choice. Hey guys, I am going to be taking a bit of a hiatus for this upcoming week. I will post tomorrow, but after that I won't be posting until the following week. Thanks for bearing with me. :)
Prompt: “What’s new?” / “You know, this and that.” “So? What’s new with you?” Jennica asked Jayson as she took a sip of her punch. “Oh, well,” Jayson coughed. Things hadn’t been awkward between them before. When they were younger they used to play all day and had a great time, and as they got older they would talk long into the evening and would never get bored of it. Now, however, it seemed like they couldn’t speak two words to each other without feeling this awkwardness between them. “You know, this and that,” he shrugged, uncertain of what else he was supposed to say. “That’s...helpful,” Jennica took another sip of her punch. She hated having this distance between the two of them, but she didn’t know how to bridge the gap. She was head over heels in love with him, but he was dating her roommate, Laura, and she was trying to be okay with that. She didn’t want to lose his friendship. The two of them stood in awkward silence, watching as the others danced. Jennica took a deep breath as she sipped her punch. It was going to be a long evening. |
